Welcome to Son:mi! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our experimental product recommendation platform. By accessing or using Son:mi, you agree to these Terms.

1. MVP Status

Son:mi is in early-stage development. Features may be incomplete, experimental, or subject to change. We may suspend or discontinue features at any time without notice during this testing phase.

2. Not Medical Advice

Son:mi does not provide medical or dermatological advice. Recommendations and outputs are for informational purposes only and should not replace advice from licensed professionals. You should not rely on Son:mi for diagnosing, treating, curing, or preventing any medical condition.

3. User Content and Uploaded Data

When you use Son:mi, you may share messages, images, or other information (“User Content”). By using the platform, you agree that:

• Before uploading images for analysis, you will be asked to provide explicit consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time in your account Settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any prior analysis.
• You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a license to use it for the purposes described here.
• We use User Content to provide Son:mi's services, generate personalised recommendations, improve our technology, and for the purposes described in our Privacy Notice.
• We may store this content securely for analysis and product development.
• We may share User Content with trusted third-party providers (e.g. cloud hosting, AI model providers and other trusted service providers, as described in our Privacy Notice.) solely to deliver the service.
• You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Privacy Notice for details).

4. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the service in any unlawful or unauthorized way.

5. Data Protection & Confidentiality

We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal data secure and confidential. However, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access. By using Son:mi, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and design elements of Son:mi are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or redistribute any part of the service without our written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Son:mi is offered “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the past 12 months.

8. Age Restrictions

Son:mi is intended for users aged 16 and older. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

9. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available through our website and app. Where required by applicable law, or where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of Son:mi after any updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Son:mi if you breach these Terms. You may request deletion of your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us at info@sonmi.io. On termination, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

12. Paid Subscriptions

Certain features of Son:mi may require a paid subscription ("Son:mi+").

Subscriptions may be purchased through the Apple App Store or directly through our website using an authorised payment provider.

Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

You may manage or cancel your subscription through the platform where you purchased it. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless required by applicable law or the relevant platform's policies.

Pricing, billing periods and available subscription plans may change from time to time. Any changes will apply to future billing periods.

Access to certain paid features may change if your subscription expires or is cancelled.

13. Changes to the Service

We continually improve Son:mi and may modify, add, suspend, or discontinue features or functionality at any time, including to improve performance, security, compliance, or user experience. Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes.
